Kauai Mini Golf is the first of many great new activities to open on Anaina Hou! Anaina Hou is a recreational, educational and agricultural gathering place for the community, located in beautiful Kilauea on Kauai's north shore.
Kauai Miniature Golf
This is not your typical miniature golf course. There are no clown's mouths or windmills to shoot through. This 18 hole putting green style course is set amongst beautiful botanical gardens representing the different eras of Hawaii's culture. Meanwhile, water hazards, pipe shots, and many other obstacles make for a fun and challenging experience. Along the way you will travel through Hawaii's history, learning about the islands storied past and its beautiful tropical flora. This combination of recreation with education in a beautiful setting creates a truly unique experience for both the local community and visitors on Kauai's North Shore. Furthermore, mini golf is a great game for keiki, kapuna, dates, families, and even those looking to brush up on their short game. We look forward to welcoming you at Kauai's newest attraction!
Hawaiian Tropical Botanical Gardens
Welcome to the past, present, and future. The first few holes will take you through indigenous gardens, showcasing rare and endemic native flora of the islands before human contact. Next, the course will tell of the Polynesian discovery of the islands and explain some of the plants that were brought over as key resources of their native culture. Upon entering fields of sugarcane, pineapple, and guava, guests will learn about the plantation town of Kilauea and the cash crops that used to grow here, including the very site that the mini golf course now sits on. Beautiful zen Japanese and Chinese gardens follow this plantation history, reflecting the influence that these cultures had and continue to have on Hawaii, making this island chain one of the most diverse places on earth. Finally, lush tropical gardens of gingers, heliconias, and palms will lead you through the present day Hawaiian landscape— all this while playing a fun and challenging round of mini golf!
